Korean X-Ray / 韩语透视器 / 韓語透視器 / 한국어 투시기 / 韓国語透視器 is a browser extension for Safari, Chrome, and Microsoft Edge for displaying Hanja and loanword origins in Korean text.

Processing on your device

The extension reads eligible webpage text only when you apply annotations or enable automatic annotation on websites you permit. Dictionary matching and morphology analysis run locally using bundled resources. The app does not send webpage text, browsing history, or annotation results to a developer-operated server. It has no analytics, advertising SDK, or account system.

The websites you visit still make their own network requests and have their own privacy policies. The extension cannot make those websites offline or private.

Local storage

Settings, learned words and correction choices are stored in extension-local storage. Correction records may include a limited context around a word and, where retained, the source hostname and pathname. They do not intentionally store whole pages, cookies or URL query strings. Exporting corrections creates a file on your device; you choose whether to share it. Removing extension data clears locally stored information; uninstall/reinstall behavior can depend on the operating system.

Permissions

Browser website permissions allow the extension to inspect eligible text and insert annotations on approved pages. The extension avoids text inputs, editors, code blocks and hidden nodes. Permission can be revoked in your browser’s extension settings. It does not request location, camera, microphone or contacts access.

Support and third parties

If you voluntarily submit an issue through GitHub, the information you provide is sent to GitHub and is governed by GitHub's policies. Do not submit sensitive browsing content. App Store purchase and distribution information is handled by Apple under Apple's policies.

韩语透视器在你主动启用标注，或为获准访问的网站开启自动透视时，读取网页中适合标注的文字。词典和形态分析资源随扩展提供，分析在设备本地完成，不向开发者服务器上传网页正文、浏览历史或标注结果。本应用没有账号系统、分析追踪 SDK 或广告 SDK。

设置、已学会词与纠错选择保存在扩展本地存储中。纠错记录可能包含目标词附近的有限上下文，以及来源网站的主机名和路径；不会有意保存整页、cookie 或网址查询参数。导出纠错时会在设备上生成文件，是否分享由你决定。清除扩展数据可删除本地记录；卸载重装后的数据行为取决于系统。
